HIGH SIERRA NIGHTLIFE AND ENTERTAINMENT UNSURPASSED AT MONTBLEU

MontBleu Theatre
The MontBleu Theatre showroom features theatrical lighting, terraced seating and a production-sized stage – a perfect platform for comedians such as Dana Carvey and Paul Rodriguez. The venue also hosts classic acts such as Earth Wind & Fire, Boz Skaggs and Creedence Clearwater Revisited, as well as old Motown favorites like Smokey Robinson and the New Orleans-influenced rhythm blues of the Neville Brothers.

MontBleu is also home to two nightclubs: Opal Hookah Ultra Lounge, and blu night club.

Opal Ultra Lounge
South Lake Tahoe’s only true Hookah lounge showcases internationally known DJs as well as top local DJ talent. Adorned with floor-to-ceiling curtains, a mahogany dance floor, overstuffed furniture and sultry red hues, Opal’s ambiance is enhanced by fire dancers and body painting by Bobby Whirlwind, who creates artistic masterpieces from human canvases. Opal also hosts a weekly lingerie fashion show

Opal rents authentic Hookahs, an ancient water pipe for smoking flavored tobacco, in five flavors – Apple, Blueberry, Caramel Macchiatto, Peach and Strawberry, from StarBuzz Premium Tobacco.

Thirsty guests can enjoy tableside cocktail service; in addition to full bottle service, the beverage menu features one-of-a-kind colorful drinks such as the MontBleu Opal – a refreshing mix of Bombay Sapphire Gin, Peach Schnapps and Blue Curacao. Opal has many other signature drinks and Bar Chefs welcome the challenge of creating an original libation for guests. Opal also offers and impressive martini, sake and wine and champagne list.


Doors open at Opal Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays & Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Admittance is free to hotel guests; cover charges vary depending on featured DJs. VIP tables, private rooms and bottle service are available by reservation at 775-586-2000.


blu Nightclub
At blu, renowned DJs reign over a dance floor of buzzing with the latest technology in lights and music. While the senses of sight and sound are tested, the sense of taste is teased. In addition to full bottle service, blu has a variety of drink specials to complement the club’s body paining, GoGo dancers and bachelorette party offerings. For those seeking a little privacy, blu has VIP cabanas and booths by reservation at 775-586-2000.

Blu is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. Admittance is free to hotel guests and generally $20 for public entry on weekends.

HQ and del soul Mexican Grill
Located in the middle of the casino action, HQ Center’s lively atmosphere and live music is a great gathering place for new and old friends. The main circular bar surrounds a “fire and ice” pit, surrounded by lush seating and adjacent to a dance floor.

del soul Mexican Grill features a high-energy bar located right off the casino floor. The colorful and vibrant Southwestern atmosphere at del soul creates the perfect place for a pre-dinner Margarita – made from an extensive tequila list – or a post-club cocktail.
